*Worst Day Ever*
This morning I woke up with a really bad back ache. I assumed it was just back pain from the baby, so I took a bath but that didn't seem to help. I tried different things, but I just noticed the pain kept getting worse and worse. All the sudden the pain was so intense I couldn't stop throwing up. Travis kept saying, "lets take you to the hospital." The first thing I thought of was HUGE BILL, so no thank you. He finally called my doctor and let him know what was going on. He said I really needed to come in and have it checked out. As soon as we got to the hospital the pain had stopped. I was ready to turn back and go home, but Travis made me wait to make sure. We sat in the lobby for a couple minutes, and finally decided we better just see a doctor. They took me up to Labor and Delivery and at that point I was worried I was having back labor. The pain started back up again as soon as they hooked me up to the machines. The pain was more then I could stand, and just wanted it to go away. They ran a couple tests and the doctor said I probably had kidney stones. Besides giving birth, that is the worst pain I have ever felt in my entire life. We were in the hospital from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. Poor Travis had to watch Makenna and for some reason that day she decided to be the worst that she has ever been! I was tired and sore physically and he was worn out emotionally. The pain suddenly stopped around 4:00 and I felt so much better. The doctor said I had probably passed it, but to drink lots of fluids. I am so thankful for my husband and how much he was there for me, when I know it wasn't easy. Times like this make me wish family was close, but having them just over the phone giving encouraging words helped me more than they will ever know.

Emily keeps telling me "poor Lish, I feel so bad for Lisha". We love you and will always do what we can to help. I am so sorry you had to go through that. Hopefully you will never get another one!
ReplyDeleteWe love you Alisha, Travis and Makenna. Thanks so much Travis for all you do! Kenna called me and said "Mom Sick!" Glad you are doing better!
ReplyDeleteLove Mom Palmer
I'm sorry to hear that. Yeah, that's not really fair having kidney stones after you give birth.
