Every year we have our annual Call 4th of July party. It was so fun to see everybody and catch up. It was beautiful outside and we had so much yummy food. The kids had lots to play with, and so it was a nice break to let them go play, while we talked. Last year Travis was all into the hot dog eating contest, and Lori decided to be his sponsor. He only got one down in a minute, so this year we tried for two. He got about two and a half, and I must admit it was absolutely disgusting. More of the husbands said they wanted to join next year, so I guess this is becoming a family tradition.
My uncle has this beautiful Corvette and was nice enough to let people drive it. I wanted Travis to take me, but he said "I don't drive things I can't afford to fix if something happens" so my dad took me instead. What a fun ride!
After we drove back home from Pocatello we stopped in Twin Falls and had some dinner. We decided since we were all worn out from the heat and drive we would just do fireworks at our house instead of watching them in Twin. We got some awesome ones, and it was fun to sit together as a family and watch them. Kenna loved them, until they got to the really big ones that sprayed close to our feet.
