*Fun Filled Week*

We finally got word on our house, we were going to be able to close on Thursday morning and start moving our stuff in.  Some of Travis' family came down to help and see our new home.  They showed up Wednesday late afternoon and we were excited to see them.  Makenna warmed up really fast to them, which was good for everyone.  Later that evening we took them to see the place.  We got a call from our relator stating he had some really bad news.  They had issues with taxes from 2010 and said that we couldn't sign or move in until that was taken care of.  We were really upset, because they came down to help and now we weren't going to be able to sign/move in till next week!  As sad as we all were, we tried to make the best of the week/weekend we had together.  I had planned to make meals once we were in the new house, and so I had everything packed and ready to be moved.  We had to sort through most of the boxes to find items we needed to make breakfast/lunch and dinners for the next 4 days.  We some how managed and had an amazing time!!

I had to babysit till 5 everyday (except for Friday) so we stayed around the house and just caught up.  We went into Twin Friday evening and had dinner at the Mongolian Grill.  It was the funnest dinner, we all sat around the table and laughed.  Saturday we decided we would take a trip to Boise to see the Zoo and go to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner.  The weather was beautiful so everything worked out as planned.  We were hoping Makenna would take a nap on the way up, but we weren't so lucky.  She walked around most of the Zoo and by the time we got in the car she was worn out!  We pulled up to go to dinner and she had finally shut her eyes.  We laid her down next to us, and she slept throughout dinner.

Even though the week didn't go as we had planned, we had an amazing time and was really sad to see them go.  Kenna hopped in the truck with them as we were telling them goodbye, and assumed she was going with them.  It was a little weird coming into such a quiet house after everyone had gone, but we hope to see them soon.

  1. I am so sorry about your house. At least you had family there to keep your mind off it. Sounds like you guys had a blast. It is always hard at goodbye time though.
