*Earning Money*

Makenna has been really bad lately at begging for everything when we go to the store.  Her last thing she's wanted has been a skooter.  Travis and I decided we were going to make her work for it.  We have been trying to teach her that earning money is hard work and takes time.  She wanted to look at skooters again and saw one for only $20.  We told her in the beginning that we would pay half and she had to earn the rest.  She finally had enough money and a couple dollars left over.  She was so excited and couldn't wait to get home to ride it.  I'm hoping as she does more chores and earns money that she will really get a knowledge of what hard work really means.
