*Love Day*

I have to admit Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays.  I am a sucker for gushy and cheesy romance.  It drives Travis crazy because he always says "it's not real it's just a movie" but I can't help it.  When I watch those types of movies it makes me daydream about Travis doing these amazing and romantic gestures.  This year I decided with us being so busy that I just wanted a nice night at home.  I had to work which was hard since Travis and the kids were home all day.  During work I had to run to the courthouse right before lunch and as I was driving I thought to myself "wouldn't it be so funny if Travis and the kids surprised me at work to take me to lunch but I wasn't there?"  I tried to brush it off so I didn't get disappointed because I knew how tired they were from being out late the night before.  On my way back I got a call on my cell from work and it just happened to be Travis.  He said they had decided to surprise me and take me to lunch but heard I was running an errand.  Being the dork that he is he forgot his cell phone and didn't realize I wasn't there.  It was such a nice break to go to lunch with my family.  When I got home we had heart pizzas & cheese sticks from Papa Murphy's, salad and dessert. It was an absolutely wonderful night.  Apparently it wasn't over because Travis let Makenna bring out my gift.  I told him I didn't want to go all out this year just simple, but apparently he missed the memo.  :).  Makenna said "mom if you want a dog you have to clean it's poop."  I was confused and looked up to see her holding a dog dish and a toy.  Travis said he tried to find a dog today while I was at work but couldn't find the one I have been talking about.  He said he finally caved and decided we could get our dog.  I can't imagine a better night just with my special little family.
