*Elf on the Shelf*

Tonight we had a special dinner to add our new friend to our house.  After we were done eating, I read the kids the Elf on the Shelf book.  Makenna's eyes were big as I told about our little friend.  She decided she wanted to name her Charlie.  I told the kids "now that she's named, she's magic & we cannot touch her."  Makenna was worried she was cold now that she was alive.  She shared her favorite blanket, but was careful not to touch her.  As we watched the movie, she drew a picture of our special elf.

When we were getting ready for bed, Peyton got a little fussy and started throwing some markers.  I said, "oh no Peyton....Charlie is going to report back to Santa that you have been naughty."  Kenna jumped up, and started picking up the markers.  She said "mom, they are all picked up! Now Peyton can't be on the naughty list."

We are so excited to see where she will end up tomorrow.
