*Mother's Day*

It has been such an amazing Mother's Day!  I have such a loving and thoughtful family.  We celebrated Mother's Day all weekend, and it was absolutely amazing to be with my family.  I think I am the worst at being patient, and actually waiting for the holiday.  I hate surprises and knowing they got me something was killing me!  I talked Travis into letting me see what they picked out, and it was a beautiful little flower tree for my front yard.  I was relieved when I finally knew what it was, but to my surprise Travis had to inform me that there was more, and I would have to wait.  I think I bugged him every hour, to just tell me!   He ended up keeping it a secret, and it was actually nice to be surprised.

Saturday we spent the day together, and had Mother's Day lunch in Twin.  Sunday morning, I was woken up to breakfast in bed and my wonderful & thoughtful gifts laid out on the counter.  They were things that I briefly said would be nice to have, and he some how remembered them.  We got ready for church, and Makenna even sang in Sacrament.  Somehow she got shoved to the back, and when all the kids were walking down the stairs she came down crying.  She took a nap for the rest of Sacrament, and it was really nice to listen to the talks.  It reminded me how much I really missed my mom, and all the things she taught me.  I really think I learned from the best, and am so appreciative all the things she taught me.

After church, Makenna showed me the picture and flower she made me in primary.  I had to convince her the flower was for me, but somehow it ended up in her room.  We had Travis' world famous kabobs, and it was to die for!!  The weather was beautiful so we decided we wanted to try out our new slip n slide.  It was only high 70's but we figured it was warm enough....boy were we wrong.  It was freezing, but we had so much fun.  I am so thankful for the family that I was given, and how much they mean to me.
