What an amazing weekend we have had! My family came down last night to our house, and since we are going to Travis' family for Christmas we decided to have a nice Christmas dinner. It was fun to get together and have a good meal. They spent the night and we were able to celebrate Makenna's 3rd birthday today.
Lori and her family came down today to celebrate with us as well. We opened presents and sang happy birthday. I really wanted to try and make her a fondant cake, and while it looked REALLY easy on youtube I soon realized what a pain it was. After I was done, she kept saying "nice job mommy, I love it!!!." That made it all worth it.
We were all sad when everyone left, but so thankful everyone was able to come down. Makenna had such a wonderful day, and we are blessed to have family so close. I still can't believe my baby is 3!! I swear yesterday she was just born. We can't imagine life without her. She has such a fun and teasing personality. Happy birthday sweetie!!! We love you very much.
