*Family Day*

What an amazing day it has been.  We designated today to be a family day, because Travis has been working late mostly everyday mowing lawns.  Today was Free Fishing Day, so we decided we'd start out our morning by heading to Hagerman to try and catch us some fish.  We made some lunches, got our poles ready, and headed out.  There were so many people, it was hard to find a good, and quiet spot. 

We didn't have much luck, so as we were heading out we ran into a guy that told us they were letting the kids catch 1 fish at the hatchery.  There were lots and lots of huge fish, and Makenna was really excited that she finally got to see them.  She was on her knees looking into the water, and I kept telling her "you better move, you're gonna get wet" and sure enough as soon as Travis snagged one she got a face full of water.  That threw her back a little bit, so she didn't want anything to do with the fish.  After she calmed down a little she kept asking to see it.  

Later that afternoon we had a birthday party for our friend's little girl.  The weather was really nice, so the kids were able to play in the sprinkler.  It was funny to watch them as they giggled and ran through.  It was a nice break to let the kids play, as the adults talked.  I love days like today, where we are just together as a family.  Can't wait for more days like this.
