District Champions

Friday night the team took on Declo for the right to be district champions and go to state. This was the fifth time the two teams met. They had beat us three out of four already (2-0 in the regular season). We knew that it was going to be a hard fought battle. The girls were up to the test. They only let Declo score 2 points in the second quarter and nothing in the third quarter, but Declo fought back scoring 17 in the fourth quarter. They missed a lay-up as time expired and we became District Champions and are going to state for the first time in seven years. The girls played hard and never gave up. Now we that we earned the right to represent our district in the state tournament, we hope to make it a long stay. Grangeville is our first test. Go Lady Trojans!
