*Growing Up*

Makenna has always been very independent, but lately she's been wanting to do more and more by herself.  It has been a huge time saver for me, but really hard seeing her need me less and less.  A couple weeks ago I suggested taking a shower instead of a bath and she loved the idea.  She recently decided she didn't need my help with that and washed her hair and body with me out of the bathroom.  She even has been blow drying her hair.  It was late, so I told her I would finish but she could do it next time by herself.  Her response was "promise you wont bug me next time?"  We teach our children to be independent but it's hard to let go sometimes.
