*Life of Crime?*

Today I got the worst call of my life telling me that "Kenna didn't get off the bus."  I sat there for awhile, letting it sink it.  Of course, all I could think about was the worst possible things!!  I tried to calm down, and gave Travis a call.  He was shocked, and hadn't seen her.  He hung up with me, and called the elementary.  Apparently our little, sweet & innocent child talked 3 teachers into believing she was going to be picked up. I called her as soon as I was on lunch, and this is what she had to say! 

She told me how all of her friends were picked up by their mom and dads, and how she didn't want to ride the bus anymore.  She said she told her teachers that mommy and daddy said they would pick her up from now on.  I felt a little guilty that I'm not home to do those things for her, but still a little angry that she lied.  I told her we would talk about this when I got home, but she only seemed to giggle more. 

It's funny how you think your children will turn out the OPPOSITE of you, but sadly they are just like you.  Thankfully, I have the rest of the day to cool off.  I just hope she can learn a valuable lesson from this.
