*Seattle Fun*

Travis, Makenna and I headed to Washington this past Saturday for Spring Break. It was a long car ride, but with a couple movies and snacks later we made it. We had plans to head to Seattle with Reagan and Greg from Sunday-Tuesday. Tena and Britany offered to watch Makenna for us so we could spend some time together. We had such a wonderful time! I was excited because I had never been to Seattle before and couldn't wait for the activities we had planned.

We checked into our hotel Sunday evening and headed over to see Auntie Patti. We chatted with her, had wonderful dinner and chatted with some of Travi's family. Then we decided we were tired from the drive and headed back to our hotel to get some rest. I think we had the best sleep we've both had in quite awhile.

We got up early Monday morning and walked through the lobby to have some breakfast. The weather was really nice and we knew that it was going to be a good day. We made our way over to Seattle Aquarium to have some fishy fun. They had a couple of different areas where you were able to touch the star fish and other animals in the water. Some of them were really squishy but they were amazing to look at. I chickened out on a couple of the water animals, but everyone else seemed fine with it.

We then headed over to the ship to take our Argosy Cruise tour which was an hr and a half. We had a tour guide that talked about all of the different building in Seattle and the back ground of how they had gotten there and the significant of them all.

We had some time to kill so they took me to see the Farmers Market. It was amazing how many different booths were there. As soon as we talked up Travis showed me the place where they toss the fish. I had seen it on tv but it was amazing as they tossed 3 or 4 with no problem.

There were so many sea food restaurants in the area we were at, so we decided we would head over to The Crab Pot. The gentlemen that was our tour guide told us that they give you bibs, and throw your food on some butcher paper. We thought that would be a fun and different place so we all decided we wanted to try that.

We were all stuffed so we drove over to see the Space Needle. Reagan and Greg weren't to fond of this, so they waited downstairs while Travis and I headed up to the top. We took an elevator that has open windows so you are able to see outside as you climb to the top. Travis doesn't like heights at all so he held on to the side and kept his eyes down. We got out of the elevator and as soon as you get off you are able to see outside. Travis again was a little hesitant so I went out the doors by myself to look over the ledge. It was amazing to see the city all in one view. Travis eventually made it outside but stayed really close to the building. I think he was happy he had decided to do this with me.

It had been such a long day, so we got some ice-cream and went back to our hotel for the night. We woke up this morning to finish our trip with the zoo. It was a little chilly, so most of the animals were inside their caves to stay warm. We saw so many different fun animals. We got to see an elephant take a shower as he laid down on his side. It is amazing how smart animals really are. We saw a lion roar and stair at us, we saw a baby monkey play with us as he put his hand up to the glass so he could touch our hands.

We decided to have lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. It was really cool as soon as you walk in it feels like you are in the rain forest. They have these huge tanks with fish in them, and animals making loud noises. The food was really good, but we were ready to head back home to see our family.

What a fun and memorable trip we were able to share with Reagan and Greg. I just hope we are able to take trips like this more often so we can experience different things.
