What a week and weekend we had! Travis had to work until Wednesday so I ended up packing a lot of our stuff while he was gone. Thursday we went full force and got everything done. It was a little hard to pack with Makenna hanging out on the floor with us. She loved it, there was so much stuff for her to get into.
We got up about four in the morning on Friday and headed to our new house. What a long drive we had! Travis had the u-haul behind him so an 8 hour trip took us about 11 hours. Makenna was so good in the car we were a little worried. We met Travis' boss at the school and he gave us a tour. We then headed to Wendell to see the town and house we would be living in. My friend Heather and her husband Josh met us at the house to help Travis move the boxes and couch in. What a long couple of days but it was nice to be able to see a friend and we felt comfortable right away. We then headed off to dinner together and that was a blast. I haven't posted any pictures of our place yet, but once it's all decorated and the boxes are gone I'll be sure to update.
How exciting to be in your new place! I am sure you will make it feel like a home in no time!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Makenna did well on the drive! moving is SUCH big hassle, without a baby! I'm terrified to do it with one..i'm so glad you guys are closer and that travis found a good job!
